Happy Aloha Friday!! Hope your Friday is going well!! Well I'm so excited about upcoming cooking class I just hope I can do a good job of doing this!! The ingredients for our "lu pulu" or "laulua cornbeef" for four servings is as follows: 1. 2 cans Palm corned beef 2. 2 cans coconut milik 3. 1lb laulau leaves 4. 1 small round onion -cubed 5. 4 sheets of foil (to wrap each of your lu pulu) Cooking time for these four lu pulu should be 1hr no more than 1 1/2hr. Where to buy the first 3 ingredients, I suggest for the corn beef to first check the MidWeek sometimes they may be on sale at Longs,Times, Tamura, or Foodland, for about $3.89 each if regular price they should be about $5-6 each. For this type of coconut you will find them at Seafood City or Pacific Seafood Market they are both in Waipahu, you can also get the corn beef and laulau from there too. I believe Don Quoite will have all first three ingredients. I just prefer that type of coconut milk but you may sub with any other coconut milk or coconut cream too. You will need a steamer to steam the lu but you can also do a make shift one with foil ring at the bottom of the pot fill with water to the ring and steam, will work too. Let me know if I need to clarify anything. Take care and God bless!! Seneti😆
